Hey , Just thought I'd add yet another one of my late brother in laws cars to the site... I believe this was his first car and his best ... Don't know much about it as he didnt have it whilst I knew him ...

I need some advice about how to sell and value my Torana. Its technically 138/75 which I have been told is the 138th car made in 1975 but is a 1976 torana as that’s the year it was released. It is an LX SLR5000 and has a kingswood engine in it. It has weld plates in the back and a fire extinguisher inbetween the front two seats and a racing steering wheel – clearly it has been raced as some stage. Its in really good condition with one tiny patch of rust I can see about 1.3” long on door. Seeing as they vary from about 10K to 176K and I have fallen in love with the car completely but circumstances in my life have changed and I need to buy a house for me and my son to live in I need to start thinking of selling it and get the most amount I can. I don’t know how to get the information about it to anyone – it has three compliance plates and the only suss thing is that my mechanic said he thought it was a V8 but its stamped as a V6. He offered to give me his club sport or the cash once sold which would be about 14 or 15K and he’d keep the Torana. I am not completely stupid though and if its worth 30 or 40K I want that not 15K. Logical right? I just really need to find someone that can help, hope you can steer me in the right direction.
