Chevrolet Caprice Royale

Hi guys,

My name's Luke (six litres). I posted a question on your great website a few days ago. I live in Bahrain in the middle east and drive a 2007 WM caprice. They're sold here as "Chevrolet Caprice Royale." I've changed all the badges to Holden badges. Please enjoy the attached before and after pics.

Also had the shift pattern in the transmission changed from 5,800rpm to 7000rpm and thus had to change the thermostat to cope with the extra torque (now sitting on 655NM)

Removed the "check Engine" warning so I could remove the Cat converters (and keep the oxygen sensors happy so as not to disable the remote start - which is important in the middle east) and installed a completely straight through exhaust system which gave an additional 37bhp. (total of 493bhp or 367kw!!!)

So not only does it shake the builing foundations (like the good lord meant it to), it also sails past the previously restricted top speed of 243kph with ease. Also it rained here for a week recently and when you mix rain and desert ya get MUD!!! Have to wash my baby almost every day!!!

Had it at Bahrain International Circuit F1 track, gave it to the Drag racing guys and it officially did 0-100kph in 4.82sec and 0-400m in 12.91sec!!! Not quite as quick as the 505bhp Z06 Corvette that went before it, but she's quick enough for me!!! Any Holden owner from your great website who comes to Bahrain is more than welcome to come and have a drive.
