Holden Statesman Pictures
Holden launched the Statesman range in 1971, replacing the Holden Brougham as its luxury model. HQ was the first model to be released, followed by HJ, HZ, HX and WB.
In 1984, Holden ceased making Statesmans, probably for the same reason the smaller lighter Commodores replaced the statesmans, due to what was considered high petrol prices at the time.
In 1990 however, Holden reintroduced the VQ Statesman, which looked like a long wheelbased VN commodore, but of course had all the Statesman luxuries. VR and VS models followed, again resembling the commodores of the same name.
In 1999 Holden introduced the WH statesman, available with either naturally aspirated or supercharged V6, or the Chev Gen III V8.
Below are pics of Holden Statesmans old through to new. Click a model to browse the galleries of cars of that model, or to add your own car.
