FX Holden (48-215)
The FX Holden, or originally 48-215 Holden, was the first model Holden released in Australia, in 1948.
It was powered by a 132 cubic inch grey straight 6 cylinder engine, and weighed less than a tonne, giving it quit good performance for its era
The FX competed well against the 4 cylinder European cars and American imported cars, and Holden was flat out keeping up with the orders. Over the 5 years the 48/215 was produced, over 120,000 were sold. Holden was rapidly expanding, establishing the foundations to become an Aussie icon.
