Did somebaody say that the 5.0 litre injected manifold would bolt straight onto the 253. No need to modify the heads for clearance of injector spray patterns etc.
Just bolt it on and marry up all the injection peripherals and change the fueling map slightly in the memcal etc.
Hmm sound like a good thing

you will need to change the heads to the later vn style for it to all bolt straight on

i might be goin down this path, all you need is VN heads and the injection system right? i heard you can pick up the whole kit from the trading post. What kinda power increase would we expect from an injected 253?
Just weighin up some options? might just work the 253 off its nut and have something different from 202 and 308's.

no offencemate but, 253's are shit, i mean a hemi 265 has more power an more cubes then a 253, a hemi 265 is a 4.3l straight six that blows a 253 away. really they are pissy an personaly i wouldnt bother cause u'll be spending money for no reason.

couldn't agree more
it is a waste of time doing a 253, More cubes always are better

as for the injection with VN heads, you can get carby manifolds for them if you don't want to go that way

you will honestly, be f**king surprised on the power the 253 can make. mine is relatively stock, and blows the doors off my dads injected 5.0L ford ute. takeoff the ute killed me, coz its injected. but from 100 on, i went straight past him.
and a hemi will eat a f**king 308 as well. trust me, i seen a guy with a 265 drag a 308, ate him all the way

no shit, mate i have a hemi265, been stroked to 277, the heads been done 25/75 cam, original RT tripple webbers, extractors, new rods, rings pistons, u name it mate. this is my motor for my next car, hopefully it makes around 400hp, wen the motor was stock it made around 280 to 290 hp.

iv been brought up with chryslers/hemis all my life mate, i kno pretty much everything there is to know about them, my dads hemi 265 used 2 be able 2 beat 351's, 350's, some stroked small blocks, the hemi was in a galant an used 2 run 11.75@112mph. not bad ay.

i dont mean 2 be rude mate but 253's are poinless really, my mate had one in his vk, an the quickest he got out of it was a 15.8, an that was worked, a hemi or a 308/350 would run that stock.

dude no matter what engine you put in a car...it isn't always the engine that'll make it go faster....weigh your commie and then weigh your dads ute....you'll see the difference.....
i would need a 502ci or something like that to make my car go fast cause my cars weighs heaps!!!!!!
my word for 253's are "two flies and a flee"
