I own a VS 95 (V6 ecotec) Recently a rattling sound as started under the car? When i take off in gear there is a rattle type sound coming from somewhere underneath. It sounds like a can rattling around in a steel drum. When i rev the car out of gear(Parked) there is no sound, only when in gear taking off, at low revs. Could it have anything to do with the tailshaft or main drive yoke??? Also for these type of cars what would i be better off with a pod filter or the factory air box??? The pod filter makes a difference with more instint engine reaction. But doesnt seem to like the city type stop go stop go driving(heat wise) If the factory box is the go what type box filter would yous recommend???

That noise is difficult to diagnose, theres a bunch of "could be"s, best bet to DIY would be to get someone else to take off slowly in your car while you're down on the ground beside it, to see if you can figure out where the noise is coming from. Probably needs to be taken somewhere though, to places that deal with that stuff daily, they might diagnose and give you a quote to fix, then DIY if its easy.
Id say factory airbox with a cold air intake is the go. Have a look at this ebay link

Pods aren't very good when your engine bay gets hot, and police don't really like them either. The factory cold air intake would be more discreet, and be better for city driving.
