considering a v6 and auto from vn/vp conversion into my trusty vc sedan and just need a little help to get started.

does the sub-frame from the vn/vp bolt straight into the vc? what about the mount for the gearbox?

power steering rack, able to be used in the vc or do i need to source another one to bolt into the vn/vp sub-frame?

in queensland, are these easy to register/engineer? any mods to suspension or brakes need to be done as well?

any other tricks or tips anyone can think of would be appreciated

The engine frame from the VN/VP bolts straight in. You'll need to make your own gear box mount, which will need to pass engineers or you can buy one from the likes of V6conversions.
Power steer - Recommend you use the one from the VN/VP as the mounting positions changed. May need to swap the tie rod ends over to the VC ones. Alternatively drop the whole fron suspension out and replace it with the VN/VP and use adjustable bearing plate to get a good wheel alignment.

Should be easy to register, check with QLD transport for thier requirments.

Tricks - Buy a complete dona car make life easier in the end.
