g-day everyone i am about to put a v6 commodore motor into my uc torana and want to use the commie diff and brakes on it aswell, the rear sould work (i think) but does any one know if i can use the front brakes to, this will keep all the stud paterns the same and just work better, i know that castle main makes stub axles to suit commodore brakes but i dont know which commodore brakes will work. has anyone done anything like this before and will i have problems with clearences between parts ie. at full lock and will the wheel offsets be an issue?
any help would be greatly apreciated.

A mate of mine put HQ type front discs and calipers on his Torana and he did come across difficulties with clearances with steering/suspension comonents but I can't recall what he did to rectify the problem.Maybe put up a posting on Old Holden .Com as there seems to be a lot of cluey old Holden owners on there with more expertise in regards to this question.

hq brake calipers hit on something at full lock, some people tryed grinding some of the caliper away but when they breaked realy hard in emergencys the part of the caliper that had bin grinded would blow out and then they had no brakes. thats why i dont want to use hq breaks.
i have posted a few times on old holden but i cant find them when i look a few days later. i have tryed searching but can never find them. maybe im doing something wrong but i know that they are definately geting posted.

just tryed then and there was nothing saying anything about my acount( i was signed in), maybe its because i have a macintosh computer.

Hoppers Stoppers do brake kits for all sorts of cars...Torana included
they come with calipers, rotors (slotted & drilled if u want), lines ect...everything you need...they have rear bolt ons to adapt to whatever diff u want and complete front kits 300-330mm rotor sizes.....and can be HQ stud pattern or Commodore ........
