Hey guys, im 17 from NZ got myself a 87 VL in march decided i want to lower it as low and legal (so no cutties) as possible? i looked at superlow kings but apparently they only lower 50mm from standard.. any better ideas or am i asking a bit much?? its the 2litre straight 6. cheers. :D

Hey mate welcome to the site.
The king springs website says superlows will be between 50-60mm lower than standard. Thats a fair bit, if you have a big exhaust that will probably be what scrapes on everything, so have a look under your car and see how high that is at the moment.

oh yea to true, just had a look now 60mm will give me about 110mm clearence on side chassis rails and exhaust standard (at the moment :twisted: ) so would i be best getting king superlows? what sort of shocks should i look into? i hear a bit about munroe's are they a realible brand? cheers for your help!

Monroes are alright i think theyre stock in a lot of early commos. I like KYB for good value for money.

I recieved my low jamex springs with nolathane ajustible top hats lowered monroe inserts for front and low jamex springs with lowered munro shocks today. what does the top hats actually adjust? and will my struts need to be shortened to make captive? cheers
