some help plz!

Im thinking of buying a vs calais it doesnt have anything special in it, it just standard but it been lowered. i was wondering how much should it be about? it will be the first car i buy and i dont want to get ripped off, so was just wondering if anyone could offer advice. thanks

Mate, there as so many things that could be the difference between 3-5k easily. Try Redbook for a roundabout figure that should give you a starting point. Then search carpoint and carsales and try to get a better idea. Then have a mechanic look over it. That way, you will not break the bank when the car breaks your heart.

1 of my mates brought a vs calais for his first car.and all it had done to it was lowered and he got it for $4500 but there sould be cheaper ones.you just need to have a good look around for one...

wen u go to see it squeeze the top radiator hose if it crunches then there is a lot of crap inside the engine that has corroded off the heads etc check the fuel tank for any damage such as scrapes that could cause further problems. and check all the fluids. this should giv u a good idea of whats going on with it. ask for a test drive as well. especially the oil wen u take the cap off should be on the right hand side rocker cover look to see if theres any milky residue this means that either a gasket has blown,or a heads cracked, very important! good luck!
