hey all
i recently heard that u can put a v8 throttle body on a v6 vr is this correct? if so would it be worth doing?

yes it is true, the throttle body is slightly larger which means it has a higher flow, however, depending on wat type of v6 motor u have u may not be able to connect it or there will be no point as it wouldnt even add a kilowatt to the total power without a sports or higher level computer chip, new injectors and a sports fuel pump. it would only increase your fuel consumption, you would get more power but ur better off just getting the chip, injectors and fuel pump coz theres no point putting another throtle body on unless its a motor above the vr motor (before the ecotec in vs's) cause these v6s already have a larger throttlle body

it will fit and suck more air and juice if you fit a CAI, and have an exhaust. make sure your injectors are working well and you should see a slight improvement. Remember although a V8 TB fits you need to use the V6 TPS on the V8.
