hi, ive recently purchased some springs for my vt commodore.. they are king spring superlows for the front and king spring ultra lows for the back. (part numbers - khfl-47sl and khrl-46ssl) i was hoping to put the springs in without changing the shocks, but it looks like ill have to get a set of shocks.. what shocks do you guys recommend? I was looking at a set of kyb shocks.. they look reasonably cheap.. do you guys know if i can get away with just fitting new rear shocks or vice versa (front struts)? i dont have a lot of money to spend.. and also, ive heard about people installing camber kits after lowering their car.. what exactly is a camber kit and how do i know if ive already got one on my car (ive already got a towbar) any help would be really appreciated. thanks :)

hey mate, them springs on the back are going to be killer for camber, not sure on how you check for a camber kit,but i'd take it into a suspension place and get them to check it out,i tried doing the shocks on my vq,was a can of worms to do it myself, cause i didn't have all the right gear and so on..
and no you don't have to worry about new struts and all that for now, they are just an accsesory to help ride quality, they don't help too much, the springs will be great if you are not worried about the smoothness of the ride,or speed humps either, going something that low will be a killer for your car.

For me it seems to be a bit wierd for you to go lower springs on the rear than the front,as the vt's have irs,and the rear end goes lower when put into drive, and the diff raises when put into park, reverse or neutral.
it should be the other way around,or same springs all round.
Never the less, good luck with the suspension.
Regards
Scott
